it depends on weather your mobo supports the newer cards options like pcie2.0
with your system maby just look into som 8800's
but if you can get away with it do dual 260's.
I was gonna do dual 295 setup but its not meshing with my setup. so im going back to the 260's i had prior.
sli 260's will still handle 16q and 32q settings you just dont get the preformance in non static applications.
the 192 core setup has prooven stable in both gameing and codeing applications (cuda, c++, ect.)
heres my build now that its complete:
Manufacturer: N!N inc.
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM pc 1600 7-7-7-20 (patriot viper gameing series)
Hard Drive: 1.5 TB baracuda 3.0gbs
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 (x2 sli 16x)
Monitor: AOC 2236vW
Sound Card: 5.1 (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Speakers/Headphones: 5.1 custom w/ 2x 12' sub on 125w optimus
Keyboard: Kensington
Mouse: Razer copperhead
Mouse Surface: N!N's Game pad
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Motherboard: msi NF980-G65
Computer Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Black Steel ATX

NOTE: if your gonna build a whole new system wait for the 6 cores amd's and wait for the 400 series of nvidia so you will have dirext x 11.
