Reason: added shopping list
THe 1 is prety bad ass,, THSI amd one is only ddr2.. not that bad ass.
ddr3 is better.
Tell you what... you want stuff that goes to gether?
www.ibuypower.com
Customize your irg, at the time left, go to desktops [highlight] 17 or AMD [MAKE SURE YOU GRAB ddr3]
go through it all, customize it, then either built=d it your self, or get them to do it.
I build my own gea, as its cheaper.. but their auto configurator [everythng they offer per item is compatible, so no issues there lol]

Also note, I chose 4 [2] terobite rives.. plus 1200watt power supplies.. PLUS sli cards..... I chose expensive gear. as you said money is no object.
If you want, I can configure you a rig completely, but slimmed down.
What specs are you wanting?

I'm not sure how much I really need but the last place I'll skimp with be mobo and processor. From my experience, without question, those are the most important pieces and nothing performs without them.
So after researching and all I think we agree i7 975 will be the processor.
When I did my last build, the A8N32SLI Deluxe had just came out and the corsair 3500 LL Pro was touted as being designed for that board... They didn't lie this computer has ran flawless for 4 years, not a single error.
Anything like that now and how much is needed? 12 gigs??? Seems like overkill but who am I?
Thanks for all your input folks it is much appreciated.
